I had the most wonderful time photographing the Austin Asian American Film Festival’s “Stories Within” premiere at the Austin Public Library. I even got the chance to do some step and repeat portraiture.

As the mini-documentary played, I found myself tearing up as I watched the featured contributors speak to their younger selves about the racism and discrimination they will encounter, as well as uplifting messages that will help them along the way. The feels kept going as the panel and the writing workshop followed. Click here if you would like to learn more about this beautiful project.
