I had the most wonderful time photographing the Austin Asian American Film Festival’s “Stories Within” premiere at the Austin Public Library. I even got the chance to do some step and repeat portraiture.

As the mini-documentary played, I found myself tearing up as I watched the featured contributors speak to their younger selves about the racism and discrimination they will encounter, as well as uplifting messages that will help them along the way.
